Good experience, one small thing

My experience with the Thailand Sailing Course was largely positive. The instructors were very professional and the route we took was beautiful. The booking process was simple enough online. The only minor point was that the initial information about what specific activities were included each day was a little vague, which made planning personal time a bit tricky. Once we were there, it all worked out, but a more detailed itinerary beforehand would have been nice. Overall, I felt it was good value for the cost and I learned a lot.

Croatia Catamaran course

I booked the Croatia Catamaran Adventure online. The booking process itself was straightforward on their website, pretty easy to navigate. I had a question about the packing list, so I used their contact form and got a reply within a day, which was helpful. The course materials arrived digitally a few weeks before departure. Delivery of the actual experience, meaning the trip itself, was great. The instructors were knowledgeable, and the catamaran was in good shape. Everything felt well-organized from start to finish. I felt like I really learned a lot while still having a good time.

BVI Sailing Course was awesome

Just got back from the BVI Sailing Course and it was awesome. Seriously, had such a good time. The instructors were super chill but still taught us a ton. Met some cool people too. It was a really good vibe all week. Totally recommend it if you're thinking about learning to sail in a fun place.

Unforgettable Greece Adventure!

I just completed the Greece Sailing Adventure and it was absolutely incredible! From the moment I stepped on board, the energy was fantastic. The sailing, the instructors, the beautiful islands – everything exceeded my expectations. I learned so much and had an amazing time doing it. I will definitely be booking another trip with Sailing Virgins! So glad I went!

ASA Fast Track consistent

I just finished my third trip with Sailing Virgins, this time the ASA 101/103/104 Fast Track in the BVI. As always, the instruction was top-notch and the boat was well-maintained. They consistently deliver a great experience, which is why I keep coming back. Already eyeing my next adventure with them.

Are there any deals for booking multiple courses? Like if I wanted to do ASA 101/103/104 then also an advanced one later?

L Leah Brown 3 weeks ago
I think they do multi-course bundle discounts, but you'd probably have to ask them directly when you inquire. It's not usually advertised up front.

My buddy got a small discount for booking a second course after his first one, but it was like an alumni thing, not a bundle at the start. Worth checking though!

Thinking of doing the Bareboat Charter certification. Is it really worth it compared to just doing ASA 104 with another school? What makes them different?

J Jessica M. 4 weeks ago
Sailing Virgins focuses a lot on actual hands-on adventure, not just textbook stuff. My instructor pushed us to really manage the boat. It felt more practical than friends who went with other ASA schools.

I chose SV because their instructors actually push you to learn more than just the minimum. Plus, the destinations are way cooler than just sailing in the same bay every day.

What's the typical age range on these Sailing Virgins trips? I'm in my late 20s and don't want to be with all teenagers or people way older.

J Justin H. 1 month ago
I was on a BVI trip last year and most people were 25-40, maybe a couple older folks. Definitely not a bunch of kids.

They market themselves to 'younger sailors' but it's more about attitude than actual age, usually a pretty mixed group but leaning younger professionals.

Has anyone booked a trip with Sailing Virgins as a solo traveler? How was the experience sharing a cabin?

A Anthony Robinson 4 weeks ago
I did the solo traveler option in Greece and it was great. They pair you with someone of the same gender if possible, but honestly, you spend most of your time on deck or exploring.

Yeah, I booked a shared cabin last minute and it was totally fine. Everyone's there to sail and learn, so it's not awkward at all.

Anyone know if Sailing Virgins ever does promo codes? I'm trying to book for next year but hoping to save a bit.

K Katie H. 1 month ago
They don't really do promo codes much. Your best bet for a discount is usually the early bird pricing if you book way in advance.

I got a small discount for being an alumni on my second trip, but I think they apply those automatically or you ask during booking. Didn't use a code.
